Getting set up as a coach

Two things stand between signing up and your first paid sprint: telling Stripe where to send your money, and getting approved. Here is exactly what each one involves.

Submitting your bank details

Payouts run through Stripe, the same service that takes the client's payment. You enter your details with Stripe directly — we never see or store them.

  1. 1

    Open your Coach Portal

Sign in and go to Coach Portal. Your sign-up checklist sits at the top and shows what is still outstanding.

  2. 2

    Finish your profile first

Add your name, headline, a bio of at least a few sentences, and the link clients use to book calls with you. Bank setup unlocks once your profile exists.

  3. 3

    Choose 'Set up payouts'

This opens Stripe, our payments partner. You enter your details with Stripe directly — Interview Strategist never sees or stores your bank information.

  4. 4

    Have these ready for Stripe

Your legal name and address, date of birth, the last digits of your tax ID (or equivalent for your country), a photo of your ID, and the account and routing numbers for the account you want paid into.

  5. 5

Come back and check the green tick

Return to the Coach Portal. Payouts show as ready once Stripe has everything. If Stripe still needs something, the step stays amber — reopen it and finish the missing item.

If something goes wrong

Stripe sometimes asks for a clearer photo of your ID or a second piece of information before it will release money. Reopen the payout setup from the Coach Portal and it picks up where you left off — nothing is lost, and you can still be approved and take bookings while it finishes.

What happens after you're approved

Finish every item on your checklist and approval is automatic. If something is incomplete, our team reviews it by hand instead.

Start your coach subscription

Being listed on the roster costs $49/mo. You can start it from the Coach Portal at any point; you won't appear to clients until it's active.

Set your weekly hours

In the Coach Portal, set the days and times you're free and your time zone. Clients can only pick from those hours, so keep them current.

Watch for your first booking

A client pays $149 up front and books a kickoff and a closing call. Both appear in your Coach Portal with the client's email and their prep package.

Run the seven-day sprint

Hold the kickoff call, review their practice and prep material during the week, then hold the closing debrief. Mark each call done as you go.

Get paid

Close the sprint and your $126.65 share is sent to your bank. Your earnings table shows when each sprint closed and when the money landed.
