Editing a STAR story
Refine each STAR field, preserve revision history, restore an earlier version and mark the story reviewed.
- 1
Open the story
Choose a story in the bank and confirm its person, source job and original context.
- 2
Edit the STAR fields
Keep Situation brief, state your Task, describe your own Actions, and give only Results supported by evidence.
- 3
Save a revision
Saving creates a new version. If someone else changed the story first, reload instead of overwriting their work.
- 4
Use version history
Compare revisions and restore an earlier version when it is clearer or more accurate.
- 5
Mark reviewed
Mark reviewed after verifying every claim. Duplicate warnings remain available for separate review.
Tips
- Use first-person language in Actions so your contribution is clear.
- If a result has no metric, describe the verified outcome without inventing a number.
