The interview journal

Capture each interview round while it is fresh, including who attended, what they asked and what to improve next time.

  1. 1

    Open the right job

From Application Bank, choose the role title. The Interview journal is on that job's detail page, so every entry stays attached to the correct opportunity.

  2. 2

    Identify the interview

Enter the date, the round such as phone, onsite or panel, and the interviewers' names. Use only details you are comfortable storing in your private journal.

  3. 3

    Record what happened

Rate how it went from 1 to 5, list the questions you remember, and write candid reflections: where your evidence was strong, what felt unclear, and what you want to practise.

  4. 4

    Save the journal entry

Choose Add journal entry. The new card appears below with the round, date, rating, interviewers, questions and reflections. Add a separate entry for every round.

  5. 5

    Use it for follow-up

The Thank-you notes section is separate and sits below the journal. Use the details you recorded to describe only what was actually discussed.

Tips

  • Write the entry immediately after the interview, before the exact questions and names fade.
  • Keep one entry per round so you can compare patterns and prepare for the next conversation.
