30-60-90 Day Plan

Build a credible first-90-days plan around the role while separating known facts from reasonable proposals.

  1. 1

    Confirm the role

Open the plan for the active job and review the requisition responsibilities and priorities.

  2. 2

    Generate the phases

The plan organizes learning, relationship-building and delivery goals across days 1–30, 31–60 and 61–90.

  3. 3

    Check assumptions

Treat company-specific systems, metrics and priorities as proposals unless they were stated in your intake.

  4. 4

    Make goals measurable

Use observable outcomes such as stakeholder maps, baseline reviews and agreed priorities without inventing targets.

  5. 5

    Edit for discussion

Refine the plan for the interview. Present it as a thoughtful starting point that you would validate after joining.

Tips

  • Use phrases such as “validate with the manager” for unknown internal priorities.
  • Avoid promising outcomes you could not control in 90 days.
